When she was on Heroes , Larter made several appearances on the film. In the beginning, she was in the Bollywood film Marigold where she received a check in the seven figures. The film received predominantly negative reviews. Also, she was a part of Resident Evil: Extinction , part 3 of the cult film series based on Capcom video game. She was "Claire Redfield" which was based on the game's character with the similar name. Though it didn't become an immediate success with critics, the film grew by three times its budget. Larter made an appearance in the movie, a caveman-themed comedy Homo Erectus which was released directly-to-DVD. In the film, she co-starred with Hayes MacArthur, an actor who was her intended to wed . Larter was in the film with Beyonce, Idris and Idris. The film was a huge box office hit, but received negative reviews. Some critics were even quick to compare it to Fatal Attraction.
